The Abode of the Message is a Sufi community, retreat and conference center, cradled in the Taconic-Berkshire Mountains of Upstate New York, owned and operated by The Sufi Order of North America. Individuals and groups are welcome to discover the beauty and serenity, an easy three hour drive from New York City or Boston and just forty minutes from the Albany airport.

This 400 acre Berkshire Mountains sanctuary offers a complex of historic Shaker buildings including rooms for short term rental, a hall for gatherings of up to fifty participants, and a secluded campground conference center capable of hosting up to two hundred guests in tents, huts and cabins. Groups who rent our facilities may avail themselves of our experienced staff of cooks and hosts.
